Hello! I’m Nguyen - a Mechatronics Engineering graduate from UBC. I've always been interested by the integration by hardware and software, especially in areas like robotics and automation. Every complex system is built from small and simple components, somewhat of a quirky metaphor to us as a society; only by effectively working together can we achieve great things.
My studies have allowed me to gain valuable technical skills such as CAD design, software development, firmware programming, and circuit design. It's also allowed me to develop key soft skills ideal for the workplace, such as effective communication, open-ended collaboration, and a strong desire to contribute to something much larger than myself.
I love creating things that make a measurable difference, such as an automatic hockey net to help train the next Ovechkin, or a Discord-based personal assistant to keep me on schedule. My ultimate goal is to translate my learnings into real-world solutions that benefit society and the environment.
I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to innovate and refine my skills, as I continually grow as an engineer in both a personal and professional capacity.
